Last Monday I thought it was about time I got back into running. I had not done it for a little while due to a sore knee initially and then laziness. So I rode to work and left my bike there, went over to gym, dropped my stuff off and started out. All was going well and I had finished the C25K for that day and was going to walk back. I wasn’t feeling exhausted so I thought I would run a bit more. So as I was I caught my foot on a rock and down I went. I managed to graze both hands really badly and one of my knees as well. My biggest concern was the pain I had in my knee, it wasn’t just the graze, it felt like there was some serious internal damage. Luckily over the last week all the pain has gone and I think it will be ok. It is however still very bruised.

The sad thing was when I did the first run it was pretty dark. When I was coming back there was light and that’s the time I decided to trip. Before you ask, luckily no one saw it happen.

So covered in mud and blood I walk back to gym and gather my stuff as I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to shower there that day. I was going to catch the bus home but thought, hmmm probably not a good idea with all the aforementioned blood and mud. So it was back on my bike and I rode home, showered, dressed my wounds then caught the bus back to work. What a way to start the week!!

I am sorry to report yet again that somebody has also blocked the 3^rd Floor Gents cubicle toilet bowl, with toilet paper at SVG.

What a joke! It would seem I work in a company full of complete animals! I can’t imagine how these people live in their own houses! I think I need a new job! And SVG is not a shortening of savages. It is the name of one of our buildings.

Wow you can tell winter is on it’s way! All the leaves are starting to fall off the trees behind my house, I actually have to wear a jacket, and at 6am when I get up it is dark!

The big one though is at 6 when I ride to work it is freezing! One day this week it was 5 degrees when I got up! I was stupid enough to think I didn’t need gloves. By the time I got to work I couldn’t really feel my fingers! Not good. Cycling gloves have now been found.
